Before you set out

Your journey, at your pace.

Original base-game campaign. This route does not require DLC, glitches, or amiibo rewards; Master Mode changes combat pressure.

  • Cook ingredients together for healing and a useful effect; mixed effects can cancel.
  • Upgrade armor at Great Fairy fountains.
  • Cold, desert heat, and volcanic fire require different protection.

01

The Great Plateau

0 / 3 steps

Earn the Paraglider.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Activate the Great Plateau Tower and complete the four shrine trials. Magnesis moves metal, bombs clear obstacles, Stasis stores impact on frozen objects and Cryonis makes pillars in water.

  2. Prepare cold protection before climbing to the snowy shrines. Cook warming food or obtain suitable clothing, and watch the protection timer rather than relying on a single meal.

  3. Exchange the four Spirit Orbs at the Goddess Statue, then meet the old man above the Temple of Time. Leave the plateau only after obtaining the Paraglider.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

A cooked spicy meal provides temporary cold resistance; watch its timer.

02

Kakariko and Hateno

0 / 3 steps

Recover Link's direction and memories.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Travel through the Dueling Peaks toward Kakariko and speak with Impa. Register a horse or activate shrines along the road to make return trips easier.

  2. At Hateno's laboratory, bring the blue flame from the village furnace, using lanterns along the route as relighting points. Unlock the Camera and take the requested photograph.

  3. Return to Impa and begin the memory search. Gather ancient materials for rune upgrades and visit Great Fairies when you can afford to improve armour.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Shrines double as travel points even before every puzzle is finished.

03

Zora's Domain and Vah Ruta

0 / 3 steps

Help Sidon calm the reservoir.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Follow the road to Zora's Domain and accept Sidon's plan. Collect Shock Arrows around the Lynel's territory; defeating the Lynel is not required.

  2. Ride on Sidon's back, break incoming ice with Cryonis and shoot Ruta's glowing targets after swimming up the waterfalls. Inside, obtain the map and change the position of the elephant's trunk to operate the waterwheels.

  3. Activate all five terminals before the main control. Against Waterblight, attack its eye and evade the spear; in the flooded phase, break or return its ice blocks and use arrows to create an opening.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Cryonis destroys the incoming ice blocks without spending arrows.

04

Rito Village and Vah Medoh

0 / 3 steps

Reclaim the sky.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Reach Rito Village, speak with the elder and meet Teba at the Flight Range. Bring cold protection and practise aerial archery before the assault.

  2. Destroy Medoh's cannons with Bomb Arrows while gliding between firing windows. Inside, tilt the beast and use airflow, sliding mechanisms and bombs to reach the terminals.

  3. Use updrafts to gain height against Windblight and shoot its eye in slow motion. Avoid the tornadoes and reposition when the floating devices alter its attacks.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Release the bow between shots to save stamina while airborne.

05

Goron City and Vah Rudania

0 / 3 steps

Climb Death Mountain safely.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Obtain flame protection before entering the burning mountain region. Heat resistance for the desert does not protect against this environment.

  2. Free Yunobo, escort him past the scouts and use the cannons. Inside Rudania, light blue-flame torches to open routes, then rotate the beast to reach the remaining terminals.

  3. When Fireblight draws in air behind its flame barrier, throw a remote bomb into the suction and detonate it. Attack after the barrier breaks, avoiding the large sword swings.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Ordinary heat-resistant meals do not stop volcanic ignition.

06

Gerudo Town and Vah Naboris

0 / 3 steps

Return the Thunder Helm.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Enter Gerudo Town in the required disguise, recover the Thunder Helm from the Yiga hideout and return to Riju. During the approach, stay inside her protective field.

  2. Obtain Naboris's map and rotate its three body sections to connect the electrical circuit. Follow the powered lifts and outer routes to the terminals.

  3. Block or evade Thunderblight's rushes and break its guard. During the metal-pillar phase, use Magnesis to lift a pillar near the boss so its own lightning strikes it.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Rain and electricity make equipped metal especially dangerous.

07

Memories and the forest sword

0 / 3 steps

Choose your preparations before the finale.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Follow the Lost Woods' wind clues to Korok Forest. Drawing the Master Sword requires thirteen permanent hearts; temporary yellow hearts do not count.

  2. Use the album and Pikango's clues to visit the memory locations, then report to Impa for the final memory lead. Memories are optional for reaching Ganon.

  3. Upgrade armour, prepare healing and gather shields, arrows and spare weapons. Choose which remaining shrines and side quests you want to finish before entering the castle.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

The Master Sword and memories enrich this route but are not prerequisites for entering the castle.

08

Hyrule Castle

0 / 3 steps

End the Calamity.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Choose a castle approach suited to your equipment: water, cliffs and interior corridors offer different routes. Visit side rooms for supplies before entering the Sanctum.

  2. Any uncleared Divine Beast bosses must be fought before Calamity Ganon. Use dodges, parries and the champions' powers to create openings when his protection is active.

  3. During Dark Beast Ganon, use the Bow of Light on the glowing targets. Ride around the beast, then use the updraft and aerial aim for the final eye.

Plan your final discoveries.

Use these routes alongside the edition-specific counters. The references link to individual locations and additional maps.

Shrines, Koroks and the map percentage

  1. Use the interactive map below to work one tower region at a time. Track shrine discovery separately from completing its trial and collecting its Spirit Orb.

  2. Korok Seeds expand inventory through Hestu, but collecting every seed is a separate completion goal. Revisit suspicious rock patterns, tree arrangements and timed challenges with the relevant equipment.

  3. The percentage shown after the ending measures map completion, not every quest, armour upgrade or Compendium entry. Finish the separate objective counters instead of treating that percentage as a universal checklist.

Chapter references

Expansion Pass route

  1. For Trial of the Sword, prepare before returning the Master Sword to its pedestal. Inside, collect food and equipment carefully because Link begins without his normal inventory.

  2. The Champions' Ballad starts after all four Divine Beasts are freed. Complete its plateau trial, regional monument clues and added shrines before the final dungeon.

  3. Track DLC shrines, equipment and quest rewards separately from the base game's objectives. Master Mode changes enemy pressure and resource planning; it does not share the ordinary mode's progression.
