01

Gnarled Root Dungeon

0 / 3 steps

Recover the first Essence.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Recover the sword from Hero's Cave on a standalone file, then awaken the Maku Tree. Use the Gnarled Key to open the tree dungeon north of Horon Village.

  2. Collect the Seed Satchel and use Ember Seeds to light torches. Push blocks after clearing enemies when a door remains closed.

  3. Approach Aquamentus from outside the spread of its three fireballs. Strike its horn, collect the heart and Essence, then return to the Maku Tree's next clue.

Refill seeds before leaving their tree.

02

Winter and Snake's Remains

0 / 3 steps

Obtain the Power Bracelet.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Follow the portal to Subrosia and obtain the Rod of Seasons' winter power. Stand on a tree stump to change the season; deep snow opens routes over otherwise impassable ledges.

  2. Visit Holly for the Shovel and reach Snake's Remains. Retrieve the Power Bracelet and place pots on switches without throwing away the only usable pot.

  3. Feed Dodongo a bomb, lift it while inflated and throw it onto the spikes. Sword strikes against its armoured body do not solve this fight.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Winter changes ledge access as well as water.

03

Summer and Poison Moth's Lair

0 / 3 steps

Learn to jump.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Find the Floodgate Key and open the swamp's water route. In Subrosia, give Rosa the ribbon and follow her to reach the summer tower.

  2. Change the season to summer so vines grow to the dungeon entrance. Collect Roc's Feather and use it to cross pits and reach switches.

  3. Against Mothula, jump over attacks while preserving a safe landing tile. Strike during its accessible passes and deal with smaller enemies before they crowd the platform.

Your animal companion changes the swamp approach.

04

Sunken City and Dancing Dragon

0 / 3 steps

Acquire the Slingshot.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Pass the Master Diver's test for the Flippers. Explore Mount Cucco and Subrosia to obtain spring power, then recover the Dragon Key.

  2. Use the Slingshot to activate distant seed switches. Keep the appropriate seed selected: Ember Seeds can light torches, while other seeds serve different puzzles.

  3. Avoid Gohma's claw and wait for its eye to open. Shoot Ember or Scent Seeds into the eye, then reposition before its next approach.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Spring flowers launch you to higher ground.

05

Autumn and Unicorn's Cave

0 / 3 steps

Master magnetic movement.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Obtain autumn power and change Eyeglass Lake's season to expose the route beneath the lake. Carry seeds and healing into Unicorn's Cave.

  2. The Magnetic Gloves switch between attracting and repelling. Match the polarity to the anchor or metal ball, and use short adjustments to keep the ball on the intended path.

  3. Drive the spiked metal ball into Digdogger. Continue using it against the smaller creatures after the boss splits, while keeping Link away from their movement.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Change polarity to switch between pulling and pushing.

06

Tarm Ruins and Ancient Ruins

0 / 3 steps

Recover the Magical Boomerang.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Collect the four shaped jewels and place them in the Tarm Ruins gate. Use seasonal changes to cross the ruins and follow the Lost Woods' instructions.

  2. The Magical Boomerang can be steered after throwing. Curve it around walls to operate switches that cannot be hit in a straight line.

  3. Hit Manhandla's open flowers with the boomerang. Once its protective form breaks, switch to the sword and chase the exposed core.

Checkpoints

Keep Feather ready for spikes and broken flooring.

07

The pirates and Explorer's Crypt

0 / 3 steps

Find Roc's Cape.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Recover the pirates' missing bell in Samasa Desert and have the Subrosian smiths repair it. Return it to the captain to open the western route.

  2. Reach the graveyard with the appropriate season. Inside Explorer's Crypt, light torches promptly where the ghosts threaten to return you to the entrance.

  3. Roc's Cape extends jumps when held. Use it to cross longer gaps and evade Gleeok's shockwaves after cutting off its heads.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Hold the jump input to extend the Cape's flight.

08

Sword & Shield Maze

0 / 3 steps

Finish the eight Essences.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Trigger the volcanic eruption through Subrosia, then return through the altered Temple Remains. Follow the new route and seasonal vines to the dungeon portal.

  2. Collect the Hyper Slingshot and carry ice crystals through the minecart routes. Drop crystals into the correct shafts to cool lava on the lower floor.

  3. Against Medusa Head, jump the beams and spinning orbs with Roc's Cape. Use a Pegasus Seed to stun it after the orb attack, then strike with the sword.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Use spread shots when several torches need lighting.

09

Onox's Castle

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Din.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Collect the Huge Maku Seed after the eighth Essence and enter Onox's Castle. Defeat the required enemies in each room before trying to advance.

  2. Use charged sword attacks on Onox. When Din's crystal blocks your approach, move it with the Rod of Seasons rather than striking it.

  3. For the dragon form, evade a hand slam, jump onto the lowered hand and strike the forehead jewel. Record the password displayed after the ending to start a linked Oracle of Ages adventure.

Plan your final discoveries.

Use these routes alongside the edition-specific counters. The references link to individual locations and additional maps.

Linked play and permanent upgrades

  1. Use the ending secret to start Ages as the continuation of Seasons, or import an Ages ending secret to begin a linked Seasons file. The order changes some encounters and secret recipients.

  2. Complete each secret exchange in both games and return the resulting password to Farore where applicable. Keep ring transfer separate from the story-linking secret.

  3. In linked play, return to Hero's Cave with late-game equipment for its expanded challenge. Defeating Onox does not complete the shared Oracle finale.

Chapter references

Hearts, Gasha trees and companions

  1. Revisit locations in different seasons: frozen water, leaf-covered holes, mushrooms and summer vines can change access to a reward.

  2. Track the fixed heart locations separately from rewards involving Gasha Nuts or Maple. A random reward may require more than one attempt and is not a missing map marker.

  3. Record the animal companion attached to your file. Companion regions differ, so a route shown for another animal may not match your terrain.
